I am one of those people who hate to cook. I would much rather be at the library writing a research paper to give you an idea of how much I dislike cooking. Over the years though I have realized that as long as I step outside the box (i.e. don't slavishly follow a recipe) I enjoy the process a little bit.
My concoctions now are usually a result of what I happen to have in the pantry or refrigerator. I often speed past the grocery store on my way home, too impatient to stop and shop for the night or the week. Once home I find that there is nothing that would seemingly make a good meal, but I generally have a few staples to pull together a semblance of edible food.
